It is really important that you read and understand these terms and conditions (the “Terms”) before making an application to join The Outsiders Perspective Incubator Programme (the “Programme”).
By submitting an application to join and/or participating in the Programme, you confirm that you have read, agree to, and are in compliance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy (each as amended from time to time).
About Us
- The Programme is organised by Changing Patterns Limited (UK company No: 13973135) t/a The Outsiders Perspective (“TOP”).
- In these Terms, references to “we” or “us” are to TOP.
- In these Terms, references to “you” or “your” are references to you as an “Applicant”.
- An “Applicant” is any individual who submits an application to the Programme.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply for the Programme.
- Applications for the Programme will only be eligible if they meet the following criteria:
- You are a person of colour.
- You have a minimum of 4-years’ experience in domains such as accounting, DEI, finance, HR, IT, legal, marketing and strategy.
- You can demonstrate a passion for the fashion, luxury, or beauty sectors.
- You can commit to attending the 7 workshops and 1 network event as part of the programme.
- Workshops: 6.30pm-9pm, 9th /10th /16th /17th /23rd /24th /25th April 2024.
- Network event: 5pm – 10.30pm, 30th April 2024.
- Applications are open to individuals only.
Applying for the Programme
- Applicants must complete the online application form found at: https://app.theoutsidersperspective.org/onboarding_talent
- Applicants may only submit one application for the Programme.
- All Applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom, and must produce valid documentation proving this right upon request by us as part of the application process. If for any reason you are unable to produce valid documentation upon request, we reserve the right to reject your application.
- All Applicants must be able to attend, in person, the Programme and associated events. Please note that these dates are subject to change and communication of any changes will be made at the earliest possible time.
- Workshops: 6.30pm-9pm, 9th /10th /16th /17th /23rd /24th /25th April 2024.
- Network event: 5pm – 10.30pm, 30th April 2024.
- If an Applicant is successful, it is a condition of taking part in the Programme that the Applicant agrees to sign the Confirmation Letter which sets out specific commitments and promises, as well as Programme specific information. A draft copy of the Confirmation Letter can be supplied on request.
The Application Process
- Our board of advisors, together with TOP, will consider each application on its merits.
- Applications will be considered on the basis of our selection criteria, as follows:
- You are able to demonstrate a minimum of 4-years experience in a given field.
- You are able to demonstrate a passion for the fashion, luxury or beauty sectors.
- You can demonstrate that you have tried to access these industries in the past 12 months.
- You are open to learning, adaptable and you embrace new ideas.
- You are able to demonstrate that you are a top candidate within your field of expertise and understand what skills you have that will be transferrable into another sector and how.
- Our board of advisors and TOP will consider who they consider to be the best candidates and will award places on the Programme in their discretion.
Conduct whilst on the Programme
- Should you be awarded a place on the Programme, you must conduct yourself in a professional manner. If your behaviour fails to meet the Programme standards as stated below, negatively impacts the Programme and/or those involved, or otherwise damages the reputation of the Programme and/or TOP, we reserve the right to dismiss you from the Programme.
- Applicants must:
- Be considerate and respectful towards fellow applicants, TOP staff and guests
- Comply with reasonable requests or instructions from TOP
- Not engage in any conduct intended or likely to disrupt the course or the learning of other Applicants
- Not damage any property that is not their own
- Not engage in any harassment or intimidating behaviour
- Not drink alcohol or consume drugs whilst on course premises
- Not put the health and safety or yourself or others at risk
- Not breach any applicable laws whilst on the Programme
Work Placements
- Following or during the Programme, you may have the opportunity to undertake a work placement with an external company (“Placement Company”). If you are engaged by a Placement Company on any basis (for example permanent or temporary, as an intern or otherwise) you understand that the relationship will be between you and the Placement Company, and not us.
- You will be under the direct supervision and control of the Placement Company. The Placement Company is responsible for all of its acts, errors or omissions during the period of engagement with you and the Placement Company will be responsible for complying with all statutes, by-laws, codes of practice and legal requirements to which it is ordinarily subject in respect of its own staff (including in particular the provision of adequate Employers and Public Liability Insurance cover for you during the period of any engagement with you.
General Points
- We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms, if necessary, from time to time.
- We shall not be in breach of these Terms nor liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of our obligations under these Terms if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control.
- These Terms are subject to English law and any dispute that is not resolved by consultation between the parties shall be referred to the courts of England and Wales.
