Walpole + The Outsiders Perspective | Annual Executive Dinner
The Outsiders Perspective partnered with our long-term partner Walpole to host our Annual Executive Dinner at The Corinthia. Leaders from Business of Fashion, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Rolex and many more, came together to explore a question at the heart of modern luxury: How do brands maintain cultural fluency as they expand across rapidly evolving global markets?
The conversation that followed reflected a shared commitment from brands: that inclusion, when embedded thoughtfully, strengthens brand relevance, deepens consumer connection and supports long-term business resilience.

Spring 2026 Networking Event at The Four Seasons
This event marked the completion of our Spring 2026 Accelerator Programme, held at The Four Seasons where we introduce TOP candidates to the key players in luxury, fashion and beauty to secure employment. Our largest cohort to date, with 45 highly-skilled professionals of colour from alternate high-preforming industries brought their expertise, new skills and consumer knowledge into our industries.

The spring accelerator program took place in April 2026, where we heard from our expert leaders on their own personal career journeys. The series welcomed professionals from Selfridges, Liberty London, Harrods and Chanel amongst many more, who shared invaluable advice on making a seamless transition into the luxury fashion industry.

TOP Club | Marketing Leadership
We launched TOP Club, an initiative to bring together senior leaders, from all functions, across luxury, fashion and beauty to have open conversations about the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry. This iteration welcomed industry-wide Senior Marketing & Communications leaders. We were joined by Karen Blackett CBE, Former CEO of WPP and Uwern Jong, Co-founder of OutThere Magazine, who led the conversation centred on “The Outsider Advantage – why the most culturally intelligent marketing and communications teams win”.

TOP Community Event
We commenced the month with a TOP Community Breakfast at the iconic Rosewood London, bringing together professionals from the fashion, luxury, and beauty industries to explore the mindset, values, and tools needed to step into leadership roles. The panel featured our founder, Jamie Gill, alongside Henrietta Gallina, Creative Studio Director at Mulberry; William Richards, VP of Talent Acquisition and Development at Dior; and Leesa Fernandes, VP of Talent at Burberry. The discussion was candid and insightful, offering practical advice and real-world perspectives on navigating the journey to leadership.

Autumn 2025 Networking Event at Cé La Vi
We concluded our Autumn 2025 Accelerator Program with an incredible network event at Cé La Vi London. Rolling off a 6-week program, our cohort came together with our brand partners to take the next step in their transition into the luxury, fashion and beauty industries. The evening brought together leaders from The Business of Fashion, Burberry, PUIG and Chanel to name a few who are committed to increasing representation in their businesses to drive innovation and leverage new perspectives. Our TOP Community was created as a medium to champion representation and build pathways for progress. As part of this mission, we hosted our second community breakfast at ALBA London, bringing together an exceptional panel of industry leaders: Karen Blackett CBE, former CEO of WPP UK; David Pemsel, the Chair of Business Fashion Council; Kristy McGregor, Executive Editorial Director of Vogue Business; and our Founder, Jamie Gill.

TOP Community | Insider's Perspectives Launch
We convened HR and DEI leaders from our brand partners to form an industry collective. A timely gathering to push forward our mission for luxury, fashion and beauty to lead on presenting people as the business strategy for success. We presented our whitepaper on the action points from the inaugural TOP Community - in partnership with the Fashion Business School at London College of Fashion. We aligned on the need to demonstrate more tangible results, on the value and success that a high performing, diverse and inclusive team creates for business and especially our industries.

Networking Event at Royal Horseguards
Programme five, featuring more than 30 talented candidates from across operational functions, culminated in a networking event at the Royal Horseguards. Bringing together partner brands including Burberry, Chanel, Mulberry, Paul Smith and dunhill to name a few, the event facilitated connections between candidates and leaders in the businesses building community and creating opportunity.

Cohort 5 Workshops
The autumn accelerator programme took place during October and November 2024, welcoming more than 30 diverse talents with skills across merchandising, marketing, legal, accounting and operations to delve into the luxury, fashion and beauty industries. The series welcomed speakers from partner brands including Chanel, Alexander McQueen, lululemon, asos, Paul Smith, Burberry and Mulberry.

TOP Community launch
We launched TOP Community, an industry wide alliance connecting people of colour working in the industry. In partnership with the Fashion Business School at London College of Fashion, we held the first biannual meeting for the group, which will function much like an industry-wide ERG. ERGs are employee-led groups designed to unite underrepresented groups, foster camaraderie and promote inclusivity within companies.
The group comprises of about 50 fashion-industry professionals from brands such as Alexander McQueen, Chanel, asos, and Burberry, working in functions like merchandising, marketing, human resources, and sales. The members, who hold roles ranging from junior to C-suite level, were nominated by their respective companies.

Thinking differently on how we hire talent is key to the success of new systems and pathways. Recently, brand partner asos.com hosted The Outsiders Perspective talents, connecting more than 20 talents directly with hiring managers.
These events allow us to collaboratively:

- Share lived experiences for better understanding and belonging.
To propel industry forward, with people leading the way, we have to look at systems and your pathways and create new ways of finding talent. A key pathway for business is hosting events for future talent and making connections through lived experiences.

A ground-breaking new report looking into diversity in the UK fashion industry and how it can unlock business growth, has been published by the British Fashion Council, The Outsiders Perspective and the (Fashion) Minority Report, with the support of knowledge partner McKinsey & Company.

TOP x Untold Stories: Hair on Set
We hosted an intimate screening of Untold Stories: Hair on Set at White City House. British actress Fola Evans-Akinbola goes behind the cameras to uncover the untold story of Afro Hair on film, speaking to a cast of stars who faced emotional struggles when set crews did not meet their hair needs.
Directed by Fola Evans-Akinbola and Jordon Pitt. The audience heard from the Director and producers on their journey and how this need for consideration might apply to the fashion world.
